High Falls County Park Campground
When I headed south from western North Carolina I was on a mission to have some lake time. My first stop was the beautiful High Falls County Park. This beautiful county park is located on the shores of Lake Keowee in South Carolina. The below review is based on my standard categories and review scale with 1 Lucy π being the lowest score and 5 Lucys πππππ being the highest.

Sites Available: High Falls County Park Campground has 91 campsites with 10 being waterfront. All sites have 20&30 amp electric and water. A dump station is located at the park entrance.

Outdoor Amenities/Activities: The sites at High Falls County Park Campground are beautiful large sites with ample tree coverage. I was lucky enough to grab one of the waterfront sites giving me a beautiful view of Lake Keowee. The park has ample walking trails along the lake, a boat ramp, and shorelines for kayak and paddleboard launching. There is so much to do right in this beautiful park.

Bathrooms: There is a clean and spacious bath house in the middle of the campground. The bath house has hot showers and is kept very clean by the camp hosts. There is nothing special about the facilities but they are functional.

Location: The High Falls County Park Campground is close to the city of Seneca, South Carolina. The city has everything from Planet Fitness to Publix. If you want to drive a bit farther the city of Clemson is also close. Clemson is a college town so there is tons of shopping and restaurants available.

Community/Comfort: The High Falls County Park is a well kept park with active camp hosts that made a point to stop in and check on me. Most campers were there to enjoy the lake and just relax. The park felt very safe and welcoming to me as a solo traveler. The beautiful trees and lake helped with the heat and made sleeping and hanging out in the van very comfortable.

Everything Else: The location of the campground right on Lake Keowee is the star of the show. The lake is clear, calm, and just beautiful. This was hands down the best part of my visit. WiFi is not available at the park and my AT&T cell signal was limited. Due to tree coverage at my spot I did not have much luck with my Starlink either, however some spots had less tree coverage. So, if the internet it important to you I would choose your spot carefully. The garbage was a good 20 minute walk from my spot which doesnβt bother me, but may be an inconvenience to others.

Overall I would rate High Falls County Park Campground as 5 Lucys πππππ. The access to the stunning lake makes this an absolute must visit campground. But book ahead because the spots go fast.
Happy Camping!
